My name is Jon Koski, I was born on February 14, 1982 in Peoria, Illinois. I lived there until 1986 when I moved to Aurora, Colorado. In 1991, I moved back to Illinois. I graduated from Eureka High School in 2000. I am currently in college studying business administration/accounting. My hobbies include martial arts, playing guitar, spending time with my girlfriend/friends, and playing video games. I currently work at Wal-Mart where I have worked since August 2000.
Martial Arts have always been a dream of mine, but I never really had
the opportunity to learn when I was younger. Fate would have it that
I just so happened to meet the right person and find the right school (Mickey
Wittekiend: Midwest Martial Arts); I couldn't imagine training anywhere
else. I mainly got into the arts to learn how to defend myself under
any circumstance, and that's what I've gotten out of it and more.
Not only have I learned how to defend myself, but I have also gained discipline,
self-esteem, and self-confidence. Martial arts have helped me grow
so much as a person. It has really changed my life. Martial
arts is something that I will never stop doing. I plan on studying
the arts for as long as I am physically and mentally able. There
is so much more to the arts than the average person sees. Most people
think that the martial arts is only punching and kicking. There is
a deeper understanding that is involved; studying the arts is a life long
process but one that is not only fun, but also very fascinating to learn.
