My name is Keith Claudin and I was born in Peoria, Illinois. I have lived my entire life in this area. I starting learning Tae Kwon Do from Mickey Wittekiend in the late 1970's, earning my First Degree Black Belt in the early 1980s.
After taking an extended hiatus to pursue various college degrees at Illinois Central College and Bradley University, I resumed my Martial Arts training in the mid 1990's from Mickey Wittekiend, studying the Dillman Theory of Karate: Kyusho Jitsu.
I believe mastering the art of 'one second fighting' is the best form of self defense for all ages to learn. Winning the fight quickly without having to inflict serious harm to the opponent should be the goal of all dedicated martial artists.
I have demonstrated pressure point knockouts at seminars and on television, receiving my 7th Degree Black Belt (schichidan) Grandmaster in Kyusho Jitsu in December 1st. of 2007.
I have traveled the state of Illinois sharing my knowledge with my fellow martial artists. I am now involved in the research and development of the science of Kyusho-Jitsu.
I currently reside in Metamora, Illinois with my wife, Mary
, a fellow martial artist. We are the proud parents of two sons (both
brown belts), three grandsons, three granddaughters,
I am currently an Information Systems Specialist at Caterpillar, Inc.,
where I have been employed for 35 years.
