My name is Mary Claudin and I was born in Peoria Illinois.
I have been in the Martial Arts with Mickey
Wittekiend since the late 1970's starting with Tae Kwon Do, winning
First Place competing in Soo Kim's tournament performing Korea (black belt)
Form. I earned my First Degree Black Belt in the early 1980s.
I have since progressed on to the George Dillman theory of Karate Kyusho Jitsu, under the skilled teaching of Mickey Wittekiend. I am considered the school's Kata Queen (forms) expert and I teach Naihanchi 1, 2, 3 and Bassai Katas to the other students in our school. I recently learned Gojushiho, and I teach T'ai Chi Ch'uan off and on throughout the year.
I believe more women should learn Kyusho Jitsu because it is not only for men; there is a lot of knowledge out there and also some great self defense techniques that women should learn.
I am one of the few women to achieve Senior Master level status in the Dillman Karate organization. I was one of the first women to give kyusho demonstrations in the state of Illinois for women only.
I recently began teaching women's self-defense seminars and have had great turnouts. I plan to have more seminars in the near future. Please contact the school if you are interested. I have demonstrated my talent for knockouts at seminars, on television, and I am captured on tapes distributed worldwide. I received my 7th Degree Black Belt (schichidan) Grandmaster in Kyusho Jitsu in December 1st of 2007.
I currently reside in Metamora, Illinois with my husband, Keith, a fellow martial artist. We are the proud parents of two sons (both brown belts), three grandsons, three granddaughters,
