Outlook 2007


Setting up E-Mail on Outlook 2007

Step 1:
Open Outlook 2007



Step 2:
At the top, click Tools -> Account Settings



Step 3:
Click the New button




Step 4:
Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and click Next




Step 5:
Type your name, email address, username and password into the appropriate fields.

At the bottom, checkmark "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" and click Next




Step 6:
Select Internet E-mail and click Next




Step 7:
Type in your name and email address.

For Account Type, select POP3

For incoming mail server, type mail.mtco.com

For outgoing mail server, type smtp.mtco.com

Type in your username and password, and click Remember Password if you want it saved.

Do NOT checkmark "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)

Do NOT click Next. Instead, click the More Settings button at the bottom right




Step 8:
At the top, click the "Outgoing Server" tab

Checkmark the setting "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication". Below this, leave the setting on "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".

At the top, click the "Advanced" tab




Step 8:
For incoming mail,checkmark the setting "This server requires an encrypted conneciton (SSL)" For outgoing mail, set "Use the following encrypted connection" to SSL.

Change the outgoing port number from 25 to 465

The incoming port number should automatically change from 110 to 995. If it does not, change manually

Click OK, then Next, then Finish to save

You should now be able to send/receieve your MTCO E-Mail
