BOB LANE JR. (Oscar) As one of our leading comics, Bob has delighted audiences at the Barn for years. He was most recently seen as Dr. Mortimore in the hilarious It Runs in the Family and as empty-nester George in Alone Together. He was seen last season as Senator Richard Willey in Two Into One, as Harry in Will You Still Love Me in the Morning?, Dick in Tom, Dick & Harry, mobster Vinnie in What the Rabbi Saw and Charlie Bickle in Here Lies Jeremy Troy. Bob's favorite roles include The Foreigner, Perfect Wedding, Caught in the 'Net, Rumors and Harvey. He will next be seen in Perfect Wedding.
PAT GAIK (Felix) Pat was most recently seen as Dr. Bonney in It Runs in the Family. He has also appeared this season as Eddie in The Sunshine Boys, in G.I. Jukebox, and as eldest son Michael in Alone Together. Last year, he was seen as George Pigden ina Two Into One, as Perry in Will You Still Love Me in the Morning?, as Harry in Tom, Dick & Harry and in What the Rabbi Saw. He also reprised the role of Sister Mary Hubert in Nunsense A-Men! and appeared in Here Lies Jeremy Troy. He's looking forward to reprising one of his favorite shows in 2009, Forever Plaid. MARY SIMON (Gwendolyn/Director) Mary has been involved with the various Conklin theatres since 1969. She assumed ownership and directing responsibilities in 1995. Over the years, Mary mentions Smoke on the Mountain, Cemetery Club, I Do, I Do, Guys & Dolls, Rumors, The Foreigner, Perfect Wedding, Funny Money and Nunsense as personal favorites. She most recently reprised one of her favorite roles, Vera in Smoke on the Mountain. She also appeared this year as the nurse in The Sunshine Boys and as Helene in Alone Together. Last year, she appeared in Two Into One, Will You Still Love Me in the Morning?, Tom, Dick & Harry, What the Rabbi Saw and Here Lies Jeremy Troy. She is proud and happy to keep our founder's dream alive! "This day, this moment, that's it!"
DAN CHALLACOMBE (Roy) We're always happy to have Dan onstage! He was last seen as Dr. Connolly in It Runs in the Family, in G.I. Jukebox and as middle son Elliot in Alone Together. Last year, he reprised his roles as Wong Chung in Two Into One and as Mother Mary Regina in Nunsense A-Men! He was also seen last season as Tom in Tom, Dick & Harry, and Noel in What the Rabbi Saw. Dan and his wife Tamra have 3 charming daughters--Claire, Sophie and Alexia and one more on the way!
JOHN JOHNSON (Speed) We're happy to have JJ back on stage. He has been seen this season as Sergeant Connolly in It Runs in the Family, as nephew Ben in The Sunshine Boys and as youngest son Keith in the hilarious Alone Together. He was seen last season as Edward in Two Into One and as Jeremy in Will You Still Love Me in the Morning? (a role for which the Pantagraph gave him the "Most calories burned on stage" award). He was also seen as Officer Downs in Tom, Dick & Harry and as groom Walter in What the Rabbi Saw. John and wife Julianna reside in Peoria with sons CJ and Max.
DAVID FLANDERS (Murray) David has trod the Barn board many times in the last several years, sometimes along with his charming wife Sara. He was last seen as the pompous Dr. Drake in It Runs in the Family. He's also been seen as the title character in What the Rabbi Saw?, in Tom, Dick and Harry, A Sting in the Tale, Who's Under Where, Holiday Snap, Don't Dress for Dinner, Ten Little Indians and Mousetrap.
DIANN THOMPSON (Cecily) Diann was last seen in the dual roles of Sister and Mrs. Bonney in It Runs in the Family. She was also seen this year as Nursey-Nursey in The Sunshine Boys! She was seen last year as Maria the Chambermaid in Two Into One, as Thelma in Will You Still Love Me in the Morning? and as bride Wendy in What the Rabbi Saw. Previous Barn shows include Who's Under Where?, Anybody for Murder?, Out of Order, Don't Dress for Dinner, Holiday Snap and Harvey.
JON STEVEN WILEY (Vinnie) It's wonderful to have Jon back with us after a brief sojourn in Moscow (Pennsylvania). He has been in many past Barn productions and has served as Assistant Director and Sound Technician for many productions as well--he was most recently heard in the offstage role of Phil the Director for The Sunshine Boys and fiddling with knobs in the back of the room for G.I. Jukebox. Thanks to his charming wife Linda for bringing him back!
