IndiQa (aka Curtis W. Tooley) began the journey into Ambient/Space music back in 1987 when by chance I happened to tune into a radio program I hadn't heard before on the local public broadcasting station. The program was Stephen Hills extraordinary offering "The Hearts of Space". This one exposure to the realms of ambient music struck a very resonant chord inside my conscious. It hasn't stopped reverberating yet these 18+ years later. After 10 years of listening to HOS and collecting a large..read very large collection of albums in the space music genre. I began studying the music at a deeper level than just the average listener.

I began experimenting with compositions of my own and for my own personal use. In the intervening years I have added and upgraded the components of my studio and my understanding of this wonderful music. I have some of my old recordings which have never been released and as always I have new material weaving its way through the ambient spaces in my mind. I am in the process of actively producing and recording these flows.

Along the way I have been influenced, guided and encouraged by a host of luminaries, friends and above all the community which holds our brand of music as dear as I do. These folk have the honor, or possibly the blame for letting me into the genre. Some but most definately not all who I owe much deserved thanks are:

Vir Unis: John I was drawn to your music instinctively way before I found out you and Koch-Northrup were friends. Keep me filled with music (and your Sony Loops) and all the best for the new life you have coming your way.

John Koch-Northrup: Finding I worked with someone of your talent both musical and professional was the final blow to my hesitancy to start putting my musical excursions onto the hard drive. Umm hmm I remember you saying "Hey you ought to take a look at Reason from PropellorHeads". That did it.
