What We Believe

We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God; perfectly inerrant in the original writings; infallible; God-breathed, and the complete and final authority for faith and practice.

We believe in one Triune God, Creator of all, eternally existing in three distinct Persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is God and that He came as the Son of God in order to reveal God to sinful mankind. He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, and died on the cross for all people as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins.

We believe that mankind was created in the image and likeness of God and that all have sinned in Adam and that this sin is universal.

We believe that salvation is a free gift of God, given by His grace, and is possessed through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that all true believers, once saved, are kept saved by God’s power and are secure in Christ forever.

We believe that every believer is indwelt and gifted by the Holy Spirit for ministry and service. We believe that the gift of speaking in tongues was a sign to the nation of Israel and this gift, along with the other sign gifts, gradually ceased as the New Testament was completed and its authority was established.

We believe the church is the body of Christ and that it should be autonomous; free of any external authority or control; and should be governed by mature, spiritually-qualified men.

We believe in the personal return of Christ to rapture His saints and in His subsequent millennial kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of all people; the saints to everlasting joy and bliss and the unsaved to conscious and eternal torment in the lake of fire.
