Studio 89 Pottery Classes


Winter Classes

Acquaint yourself with the medium of clay. This class will cover the fundamentals of handbuilding and wheel throwing. Students will explore the possibilities of clay and go home with one-of-a-kind art work. Class will meet on Mondays for 6 weeks from 7:00 to 8:30 at Studio 89. Students may bring their own tools or a Kemper Pottery Tool Kit may be purchased the first day of class for $12.00. Please let me know if you will need to purchase a tool kit.
Cost: $60.00 plus $10.00 materials fee. The materials fee covers all clay, glazes, and firings.

Introductory Pottery for children ages 7-13
Students will use handbuilding and wheel throwing to create unique ceramic art. Pieces will be bisque fired by the instructor. The students will then glaze the pieces. The focus of this class is creativity. Students will explore the possibilities of clay and go home with one-of-a-kind art work. Class will meet on Mondays for 8 weeks from 3:30 to 5:00 at Studio 89. Students may bring their own tools or a Kemper Pottery Tool Kit may be purchased the first day of class for $12.00. Please let me know if you will need to purchase a tool kit. Class size is limited to 10 students
Cost: $60.00 plus $10.00 materials fee.
