Republican Picnic in the Park
The Woodford County Republican Central Committee has scheduled its annual picnic for Thursday, September 1, from 4:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. The picnic will be held at the Farm Bureau Park on 4-H Road, east of Route 117, in Eureka.
Tickets are priced at $10.00 each or two for $15.00. Children 10 years old and under receive free admittance. The menu includes grilled pork chops, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, lemonade and iced tea. Hot dogs, chips, and beverages will be provided for the children.
Adults may enter the drawing for over 100 door prizes by filling out their ticket stubs. All children who attend will also have an opportunity to win one of over 100 youth door prizes by playing a game.
Local Republican office holders and candidates are expected to attend. Bruce Kieffer, the GOP events chairman, said, “Look forward to an evening of food, fun, and entertainment.” Persons having questions or needing tickets should contact Kieffer at 367-4995 or Margie Delaney at 699-9627.
