Outlook 2016 & Outlook 365


Setting up E-Mail on Outlook

Step 1:
Open Outlook



Step 2:
The first time you run Outlook, you’ll see a welcome screen--Click Next to get started.



Step 3:
If you had previously configured Outlook, click the File tab at the top and in the Info section select Add Account




Step 4:
Instead of the email address it now prompts, enter your username instead. Your username will be your email address without @mtco.com. Under Advanced options check the box for Let me set up my account manually. Click on Connect to continue.







Step 5:
Select POP as your account type.







Step 6:
In the resulting POP Account Settings screen, enter the following information:
  • Incoming mail Server: mail.mtco.com Port: 995
  • Outgoing mail Server: smtp.mtco.com Port: 465
For incoming mail, be sure to check the box for This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS). Likewise, for outgoing mail select SSL under Encryption method. Click Connect to continue.







Step 7:
The only thing needed on this screen should be Password. Enter your email account’s password and then click on OK to continue. You should now see a screen that reads Account setup is complete, click OK one more time to finish.
