HOW DO I CONFIGURE E-MAIL APPLICATIONS THAT ARE NOT LISTED ON THE MTCO SUPPORT PAGE?
Please note: MTCO does not provide technical support for E-mail Apps or programs that are no longer being actively supported by the developers.
Q: Why doesn't MTCO offer technical support for mail clients (software) no longer supported by the developer (Microsoft)?
A: Overall, it's in MTCO's and our user's best interest to focus support efforts on mail clients (software) that developers (Microsoft) actively maintain and support. Specifically, we have dropped support due to:
- Security risks: Unsupported software may contain vulnerabilities that could compromise users' data and expose them to security threats.
- Incompatibility issues: Unsupported software may not work correctly with the MTCO systems or may not be compatible with modern standards, leading to functionality issues.
- Customer experience: Offering support for unsupported software could lead to frustration for our users if issues cannot be resolved due to limitations imposed by the lack of developer support.
By focusing technical support efforts on mail clients that are actively supported by their developer, MTCO can help ensure the security, stability, and optimal performance of our services for users.
Q: Which mail clients are no longer supported by Microsoft and (as a result) MTCO?
A: Microsoft no longer supports the following Mail clients due to *EOL, and as a result, MTCO will no longer support:
